In 2017 three lads - Dave, Mike and Mark – sat down at Onetangi Beach on Waiheke Island and got to thinking about new opportunities.
Thirsty work all that thinking. A thirst that needed quenching.
Problem was, there wasn’t a local lager to do the job. One that was unmistakeably from the closest place to Heaven on earth. Where summer lasts forever, where time slows down, where the water is clearer, colours are brighter, and fun is just… funner.
So, after a decent swim, they started brewing one – in a shed on a quiet spot on the island called Erua Road.
The boys figured a local lager should have a local name, so they kept it simple – to match life on the island.
